With Special Focus on Transition Countries
Sarajevo Conversations 2011
Sarajevo, 16–18 September 2011
The Sarajevo Conversations 2011 provided a dynamic platform for exploring strengths-based approaches to managing social change, with a particular emphasis on the challenges and opportunities faced by transition countries. Held in Sarajevo, this international conference brought together academics, practitioners, policy makers, and community leaders to discuss strategies that build on the inherent strengths of individuals, communities, and institutions.
Focusing on positive transformation, resilience, and inclusive development, the event encouraged dialogue on youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship, good governance, and community-driven innovation in post-conflict and post-transition societies. The conference marked an important step in redefining responses to social change—from problem-centered to solution-focused perspectives.
